Nursing of Somatic Illnesses and Injuries

Nurse student

This course mainly consists of clinical training. The target group is international nursing students.

Contents

The aim of the course is to make use of and assess a wide range of evidence suitable to inform or answer nursing based questions. You should also reflect on assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing of somatic illnesses and injuries from a holistic perspective.

A final home examination gives you an opportunity of working in-depth with a theme relevant for clinical practice and their professional, personal and academic development.

Work Experience Placement

Through the work experience placement youwill undertake a short observation practice period in a health care institution/service and 9-10 weeks (270-300 working hours) clinical practice in a medical or surgical hospital ward.

Study Forms

Study forms consists of clinical skills training in the Nursing Skills Centre, self directed study, lectures, clinical sessions and clinical practice.
